Double abandonment

I found an abandoned schoolhouse on an abandoned alignment of an Indiana highway. I sure wish I weren’t so skittish about being caught trespassing, because I would really have liked to see the building up close!

The National Road revisited

“I know!” someone at the highway maintenance barn exclaimed. “Let’s get drunk and go stripe some road!”
